Help:Editing
From TruthAboutIraq
The most obvious benefit to using a wiki for a project like the TruthAboutIraq is that it can be edited easily. First, we should familiarize you with some basic concepts about wiki editing:
- Almost every page in the wiki can be edited by clicking the edit tab at the top of the page.
- A new page can be created by adding a link on an existing page to a page that does not yet exist. (See below for how to actually do this.) Clicking the link you just created will bring you to a blank template for creating the new page.
- Don't worry that you might accidentally delete something important. All changes are archived on every page, so old versions can easily be recovered.
- Please use the summary field to describe the changes being made. This makes it easier to see what was done and compare pages when looking at the History of a page.
- More extensive information on editing is available from the Wikimedia site.
Here are some basic formatting tips to help you on your way.
